HISTORY |
Since
1758, Bisso family established a factory near Genoa,
where mechanical components were designed and produced with
the aim to support the well-established bell production already present in the Ligurian Riviera.
In
the following years the company developed the production
of tower clocks according to a in-house design.
During the XIX century the company was named Davide
Bisso & Sons and maintained this name for
clock and watches production.
The
XX century made available new technologies and Genesio
Bisso expanded company services to automotive and
marine fields, while part of the family had a succesful
carrer as officers on italian liners of Italian Line and Home Lines.
Nowadays
the heritage of this technology is well known and appreciated also in marine
engineering field, including offshore.
